About the Artist

Alison was born and raised in Northwest Florida.   In 2007, Alison moved to Albuquerque with her husband where they still reside with their Weimaraner dogs.  Passionate about the beauty and nuances of glass, she began working with fused glass when she moved to Albuquerque.   Using glass in a totally different direction, she started incorporating repurposed glass into her mixed media resin art.   From there, Alison began creating abstract resin art.  Resin adds an illusion of depth and a glass-like layer to her art. 

Who could not be artistically inspired by the beautiful turquoise and emerald green waters with sugar white beach sands of Florida to the brilliant blue skies and vibrant earth colors of the Southwest?  Even though Alison took the technical career route, she would occasionally take art classes trying to unleash the creative side of her brain.   Alison’s decision to take the artistic path was influenced by her favorite Northwest Florida glass resin artist.  The organic flow of the resin with fluid acrylics creates illusions of space.  Her colors are vivid and she tries to incorporate the beauty of nature such as crystals and geodes.
